Gegenwartsliteratur is edited by Friederike Eigler and was founded in 2002 by Paul Michael Lützeler. It is a peer-reviewed yearbook that publishes research on contemporary German literature from scholars across the globe. Gegenwartsliteratur appears with Stauffenburg Publishers annually in October, right before the Frankfurt Book Fair.
